Cultural Quarter
The area known as the ‘Cultural Quarter’ is the key area of growth and regeneration identified in the Wood Green Area Action Plan for 6,400 homes within the town centre, which has the greatest potential for such change and growth.
Full Transport Strategy
mode provided input into the Cultural Quarter Delivery Plan across Kingfisher Place, the Iceland site, Mallard Place and Bittern Place, totalling circa 500 new homes and supporting uses.
This involved assessment of London Plan compliant parking provision, servicing arrangements and consideration of strategic walking and cycle connections between the sites and in the surrounding Wood Green AAP.
Various design options were prepared by mode in relation to strategic walking and cycling connections, whilst balancing the needs of all road users, including in relation to existing and planned bus routes in the local area.
Manual PTAL calculations were also undertaken to account for changes in the Wood Green AAP to support a case for reduced car parking provision and to align with the London Plan and TfL Healthy Streets assessment criteria.
