Chris Holdup

A member of mode’s Board and lead of our London office, Chris is responsible for the delivery of transport planning and engineering services to our developer clients across London and the South.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (FCIHT), with an MEng in Civil Engineering, Chris has over 16 years’ experience advising developers, landowners and investors on projects ranging from individual development sites to major strategic growth locations. He specialises in helping our clients unlock development opportunities, manage planning risk and secure positive planning outcomes through commercially focused, pragmatic transport advice.
Chris contributes to the strategic direction and long-term growth of mode nationally, with particular accountability for the leadership, performance and continued growth of our London office. This includes developing long-term client relationships, mentoring high-performing teams and continuing to strengthen our transport planning and engineering capability.
He is passionate about creating long-term value for our clients through trusted relationships, practical advice and a collaborative approach, while helping mode’s talented people develop their careers and fulfil their potential.
Outside work, Chris enjoys spending time with his family and, when the opportunity arises, skiing.
