Project Summary

mode supported the Hill Group with highways and transport planning advice for the redevelopment of Evelyn House, a key site within the Charlton Riverside Opportunity Area. The project contributes to the wider transformation of Charlton Riverside into a vibrant, mixed-use riverside community, delivering new homes, jobs, and sustainable connections.

mode’s role included preparation of:

  • Separate Residential and Commercial Travel Plans, tailored to the different users of the development.
  • A detailed Construction and Logistics Plan, ensuring safe and efficient management of construction traffic while minimising impacts on the local community.
  • A comprehensive Car Parking Management Plan, securing effective control and operation of on-site parking in line with local policy.
  • A Delivery and Servicing Plan, setting out arrangements for safe, efficient servicing that supports active travel and high-quality streetscape.

Through this work, mode ensured that Evelyn House not only met planning policy requirements but also aligned with the long-term vision for a connected, low-carbon Charlton Riverside, embedding sustainable travel choices and operational best practice into the heart of the scheme.
