
Estelle Manor Hotel
Planning permission was granted for the redevelopment and expansion of the Grade II listed ‘Jacobean’ Eynsham Hall mansion near North Leigh in Oxfordshire. The original house dating from the 1770s was largely rebuilt in the early 20th century by Ernest George. The Grade II-listed Hall resides in a 60-acre estate that is surrounded by 3,000 acres of parkland.

Redevelopment & Expansion
The proposals will provide for 126 hotel and leisure stay bedrooms throughout various areas across the estate, including within a refurbishment of the manor itself, plus a range of complimentary land uses including corporate, dining and events facilities, as well as leisure and fitness facilities, along with associated staff accommodation.
mode assisted Ennismore from inception of a site masterplan, through various planning applications and variations of planning consent, as well as related planning applications on surrounding sites to support the accommodation of staff and off-site parking arrangements, along with continued input into Travel Plan obligations required by the highway authority to deliver upon the masterplan consent.
Particular challenges that were overcome with the Client, project team and highways officers included the design of a revised entry and exit arrangement onto the A4095, which required close working with the highway authority to determine a solution to accommodate a variety of access, waste collection and delivery requirements, whilst retaining the heritage value of the boundary treatment and wall feature.
The developer remains to have a bold vision for the site and is seeking to leverage its reputation internationally for delivering a unique and high-quality guest experience by capitalising upon successes elsewhere, including the Gleneagles Hotel in Scotland and various Hoxton Hotels across the globe.
