Overcoming Challenges

mode was approached by representatives of Jeremy Clarkson to help overcome the biggest challenge yet, in securing a planning permission for the new café and associated car park. This was on the basis of an established reputation for securing support of local highways officers, and mode did not fail to deliver in preparing various evidence to support the need for the new car park, whilst generally presenting a positive case that the café would not necessarily represent any increase in demand beyond what was already a well-visited site.

mode led on the design of the site to accommodate the new car park in relation to a revised access strategy, which as seen in Season 3 of Clarkson’s Farm, includes for a new entry and exit to the farm shop site. This was designed to be able to better accommodate for customers arriving and departing the site whilst also ensuring that waste collection, delivery and servicing arrangements could also continue to function appropriately in the view of highways officers.

The planning application was approved by way of planning appeal and mode has continued to assist Jeremy Clarkson on a variety of ventures related to the Clarkson’s Farm Amazon Prime series.

This included helping Jeremy to find a new public house to serve food, as well as his Hawkstone beverages, to the general public, along with assisting on legal matters surrounding resisting proposed parking restrictions outside of the Diddly Squat Farm Shop.
