Bushey Hall
Golf Club Redevelopment

Highway Infrastructure

Planning application for the comprehensive redevelopment of the Bushey Hall Golf Club within the Greenbelt, near to Watford and within the M25, to provide for 350 residential dwellings and supporting community uses.

The transport vision for the development proposals relies upon demonstrating strong connectivity with the local area, as well as into Greater London, via the TfL and National Rail networks.

In doing so, mode has been able to agree upon no requirement for new highway infrastructure with both the local highway authority and National Highways. Instead, a focus is provided on delivering on-site sustainable travel infrastructure, reduced car parking provision, and light touch off-site footway and cycle improvements to mitigate highways impacts.

Various support has been provided by mode throughout the project lifecycle, including pre-application scoping with the local highway authority, preparation of comprehensive transport assessment and travel plan reports, as well as various documents to satisfy all stakeholders, including Active Travel England.
