Pickersleigh Grove
mode transport planning is pleased to have assisted with transportation inputs on an outline planning application for 92 new residential units at Pickersleigh Grove at Malvern Hills. Nestling at the foot of the Malvern Hills, the scheme comprises a mix of 1 bed apartments, as well as 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses.
Following pre application discussions which involved MADE and the local planning authority, an application was submitted to deliver 55% affordable housing units including the removal of substandard post war prefabricated council houses.
The application was approved by committee on 22nd January 2014.
Works continue to progress well on the new Picklersleigh Grove housing development for Festival Housing (now Fortis Living) with Plots 1-4, which were completed in June 2019, due to be occupied by the first residents by the end of the same year.

The Process
The process also involved close interaction with Worcestershire Highways Authority which involved the scrutiny of the surrounding highway network, together with how the scheme interacts with the neighbouring primary school and routes to public transport. A travel plan was also submitted to ensure a sustainable access stagey was developed.
