HS2 Hybrid Bill
Project Summary
mode transport planning were appointed by The Gooch Estate to submit petitions against the High Speed Rail (Phase One) Hybrid Bill relating to land contained in the Curzon Street/Typhoo Wharf masterplan area of Digbeth in Birmingham City Centre.
Parliament confirmed the dates for the formal period for petitioning against the HS2 Hybrid Bill; the process provided The Gooch Estate with an opportunity to seek its amendment by appearing before a specially-convened Select Committee in the Houses of Parliament.

Our Role
On behalf of The Gooch Estate, mode transport petitioning strongly in relation to the:
- Regeneration opportunity/potential of Digbeth (south of the proposed Birmingham terminal);
- Extent, content and quality of the submitted Transport Assessment and Environmental Statement;
- Connectivity, permeability and barriers to movements through Digbeth; and
- Public realm area between Curzon Street and Moor Street, to be known as Paternoster Place.
