Project Summary

As part of the Priority School Building Programme (PSBP), the Education Funding Agency (EFA) proposes to rebuild Fountaindale School, situated to the south of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

mode transport planning were commissioned by BAM Construction to prepare a transport statement to support the detailed planning application for the proposals.

Key transport considerations included:

• ascertaining likely traffic impacts;
• provision of appropriately located parking at appropriate levels in line with forecast demand;

• accessibility to the site by all modes of transport and consideration of appropriate access and circulation within the site for all user groups;
• consideration of bespoke travel requirements of the school given the Specialist Education Needs nature of the site; and

• supporting transport statement and travel plan.

The site was awarded planning consent during October 2013.
