
Cancer and Surgical Innovation Centre (CASIC)

Project Summary
This healthcare development comprised the construction of a new Cancer and Surgical Innovation Centre (CASIC) at the RSCH site in Guildford, Surrey. The new building will provide 6no. theatre suites and a 24no. bed short-stay ward.
mode provided highways and transport planning advice throughout the planning process, which involved extensive liaison and negotiations with the Local Highway Authority, Surrey County Council. Mode’s technical work included the preparation of a BREEAM compliant Transport Assessment, including detailed trip generation and parking assessment.
The planning application was approved by Guildford Borough Council in October 2024.
