Bridgewater Point is a new trade counter, warehouse, industrial scheme (Use Class E(g)iii / B2 / B8) comprising 16 units with a combined gross floor area of 11,379 sqm. Vehicular access to the site was approved from an improved priority junction on Barton Dock Road.

mode’s transportation work involved:

  • Liaison with local highway authority and National Highways to agree the scope of the assessment
  • Undertaking a net trip generation assessment to compare the traffic generated by the previous occupier and the proposed use using traffic survey data and TRICS
  • Preparing a site access drawing in accordance with local highway design standards
  • A full review of the proposed internal layout including parking provision and swept path analysis drawings
  • Preparation of a Transport Assessment and Framework Travel Plan to support the planning application
  • Preparation of Full Travel Plan (BREEAM Compliant) to discharge a planning condition attached to the consent
