Equation Properties Limited appointed mode transport planning to provide highways and transportation advice for the development of Verda Park, a new commercial development located in Wallingford, South Oxfordshire.
Verda Park will offer opportunities to a variety of industries including; industrial, trade, science, research & development, technology and innovation strategically located within the ‘Arc of Innovation’ stretching from Cambridge through Oxfordshire to Gloucestershire.
mode transport planning has been involved with the scheme from the masterplanning stage of the proposals and have followed on to complete the following works to reach planning approval:
- layout and masterplanning input;
- review of bus routes and new bus infrastructure;
- routing of development traffic;
- HGV routing analysis;
- supporting detailed junction analysis on A4130;
- preparation of Transport Assessment; and
- preparation of staff Travel Plan (BREEAM – Excellent).
The planning application was submitted in May 2020, the application went to planning committee in September 2020, working alongside UMC Architects, Quod planning and Link Engineering planning permission was granted during 2020.
