mode transport planning have been involved with the scheme since inception liaising with the land owner at JMV, as well as Ashfield Land and Lidl UK. mode have undertaken the following key  tasks:

  • initial high level meetings with JMV and Lidl to agree the broad approach to be taken;
  • relocation of staff parking;
  • review of service yard arrangement;
  • new access design;
  • parking standards review;
  • preparation of transport assessment;
  • preparation of travel plan; and
  • liaison with Worcestershire County Highways.

A council document published ahead of the committee meeting stated:

“The existing car parking for JVM Castings can be sufficiently relocated to the south of the site without significant harm and so the development of the site is considered to be entirely beneficial in these areas.”
