This has involved, advising on parking and highways matters relating to the introduction of a five-screen boutique cinema on the roof of the intu Bromley shopping centre and a number of restaurants around the Elmfield Road entrance.

mode provided the following transport related services:

  • access strategy and assessment;
  • parking allocation and accumulation profiles across Bromley town centre;
  • review of bus routes and timetabling;
  • supporting transport assessment; and
  • production of a travel plan.

The centre is located in the heart of the town and as such a key element to developing a successful strategy involved comprehensive town centre parking analysis and a through review of access via all sustainable modes to the shopping centre.

The scheme was granted planning permission on 9th July 2014.
