mode are proud to have been part of the planning team to assist in the delivery of 2.2km of new pipeline that will link between the John Radcliffe and Churchill hospitals in Oxford to create a new, more efficient energy link between the sites.
Oxfordshire County Council granted a Section 50 licence on Monday 5th September 2016 to allow Vital Energy contractors to commence works within the highway in order to lay the pipeline. However, Oxford City Council also needed to approve the plans and the committee voted, by an overwhelming majority, to grant permission on Wednesday 7th September 2016.
Whilst there will be some traffic disruption locally for a short period of time as works go on, the project will save the health service in excess of £450,000 each year and cut down on over 10,000 tonnes of C02.
